It’s been said that when we make plans, “God laughs.” That’s because no matter how hard we try, we cannot thwart God’s plan – nothing can! The book of Numbers tells us that God is not a man; therefore, He does not change His mind (23:19). He won’t ever need to – He already knows what’s perfect from the start. He never requires a “do-over” or a “retake” because everything He does is without blemish the very first time.

As a result, whatever He speaks over our life is final – and we should welcome that truth with open arms and grateful hearts! 

In our extremely limited human perspective, we can mistakenly believe that we know what’s best for our lives, our relationships, our careers, our children…but that’s an illusion hand-crafted by the enemy to create a false sense of security in SELF. Buying into that lie will only waste our time and lead us into valleys we were never meant to walk through. 

God’s way is always – always – better.

Deciding to rest in what we know to be true about His provision and sovereignty will create an unshakeable faith in His plan for our lives. He is our Good Shepherd, and we can trust that He will faithfully lead us to paths of righteousness – for our good and His glory.
