Let’s honor God with our plates this National Eat Your Vegetables Day! 1 Corinthians 10:31 says, “Whatever you eat or drink, do it all for the glory of God.” What better way to glorify Him than by caring for the body He gave us? Let’s challenge ourselves to be good stewards of our health by loading up on God’s garden this week — greens, roots, fruits, and all. It’s not just about eating better, it’s about living with purpose!
Five ideas to get you started:
* Veggie-Upgrade a Favorite Dish – take a comfort food and give it a veggie twist – zucchini pasta, cauliflower pizza crust, etc.
* Visit a Farmers Market – support local farmers and pick up fresh, in-season vegetables
* Plant a Vegetable – start a small garden or even a windowsill pot with herbs or veggies
* Host a Veggie Potluck – invite friends or family over and ask everyone to bring a vegetable-based dish to share
* Create Veggie Art – use sliced veggies to create fun food art with kids such as cucumber flowers or bell pepper rainbows
