“Come Thou fount of every blessing
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace
Streams of mercy never ceasing
Call for songs of loudest praise
Oh, to grace how great a debtor
Daily I’m constrained to be
Let Thy goodness like a fetter
Bind my wandering heart to Thee
Prone to wander, Lord I feel it
Prone to leave the God I love
Here’s my heart, oh take and seal it
Seal it for Thy courts above.”
-Robert Robinson, 1758
Heavenly Father,
As much as our hearts yearn to always abide in You, we confess that we are sometimes prone to wander, searching for something else in the world that will satisfy. because of this, we do not deserve your abundant mercy and kindness; however, You love us extravagantly anyway, continuously showering us with your goodness and grace. In return, we offer you our heart today, Lord – fully and completely. Take and seal it, bind it to yours, and mold it into something that would be pleasing to you.
Amen
