Wisdom Wednesday

This piece of wisdom proves to be paradoxical in today’s world, where hostility runs rampant and words—whether in Facebook posts, memes, or debates—are often used as weapons in the battle for who’s right.

Spiritually speaking, when we approach our faith in this way, there are no real winners. Sure, Jesus had enemies, but they were largely the religious elite—the ones who believed they had it all figured out. The ones who needed to always have the last word, who felt the need to expose everyone else’s flaws.

But if we’re called to love like Jesus, we must see others not as projects in need of fixing, but as image-bearers who need an encounter with Him.

Are we loving in a way that even our “enemies” feel like they are living at peace with us?
