National Sleep Awareness Week aims to educate the public about the importance of healthy sleep and its impact on overall well-being. Physically, good sleep helps the body repair cells, maintain energy levels, and strengthen the immune system. Mentally, it improves cognitive function, enhances memory, reduces stress, and supports mental and emotional stability.
Simply put, adequate rest is so important! Which is why Jesus extends this invitation to us: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). He knows how much we need it!
You can participate in this challenge by:
*Trying a new sleep routine this week – cut out evening screen time, add in a relaxing bath, or “call it night” 30 minutes earlier
*Setting a goal to move your body and spend more time outdoors this week – both have major impacts on sleep quality
*Hitting the “snooze” button and giving yourself the gift of sleeping in this weekend
*Praying over a friend who you know struggles with sleep
If you are someone who consistently struggles with sleep, please know we are praying for you, specially, this week!
Sweet dreams! ✨
