Throwback Thursday

“Judging others makes us blind, whereas love is illuminating. By judging others we blind ourselves to our own evil and to the grace which others are just as entitled to as we are.”

– Dietrich Bonhoeffer

When we cast judgment on others, we not only fail to see their struggles and humanity, but we become blinded to our own flaws and shortcomings.

When we love others, it opens our eyes to see clearly, allowing us to extend grace to those around us in the same way we wish it to be extended to us.
